The women's ministry strives to lead women to Christ through a variety of events and renown guest speakers. We offer a yearly Christmas Craft event as well as a women's coffeehouse event. We assist with church mission projects and provide support and information regarding women's groups and bible studies of First Baptist Church .
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Women of Faith
Women of Faith is a group of women of differing ages, married or not, who enjoy being together as we study God’s Word on Sunday mornings and as we fellowship at other times during the year.
We are a class of women focused on "The Word" which is what logos means. We study amazing Bible studies from Dr. David Jeremiah, and we cover all sections of the Bible depending on the materials we select. As adult women hungry to understand God's word for our specific lives even though we are all past retirement age, we love the insights, warmth and fellowship our class provides us every week.
Precept Bible Study starts at 9:00am and will be in Room S303. If you have any questions, please call Carol Alvis at 423-247-1973.
Begins Thursday, March 1 at 10:00am in Room S303. In this 6-session Bible study, we will delve into Scripture exploring how God created us to seek Him—a God who desires to be found and known. In this lifelong quest of faith, learn to develop your intimacy with Him and embrace the adventure that comes with living a life for God. Books will be available for purchase at $14.99 and child care will be available thru FBC's Preschool Directer, Cindy Watson. If you have any questions, please call Pam Davis at 423-863-2988.
Begins Sunday night, January 7 at 5:00pm in DBC Conference Room, 444 West Center Street. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ, challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. Nine sessions. If you have any questions, please call Beth Barnett at (423) 292-4970.
