What greater week is there for Christians than Holy Week? We go from the ecstasy of Palm Sunday to the drama of the cleansing of the Temple. Then we move to the Last Supper, the farcical trial of Jesus, the crucifixion and, ultimately. to the resurrection. Little wonder that the story of Holy Week takes up so much of the gospel narrative.
I realize that none of us can visualize or even imagine all the events of that week. Jesus and his followers must have been exhausted by the time Good Friday came. How did they even make it to that point? It was only the power of God that got them from Palm Sunday to Good Friday.
Wednesday we will gather around the tables at 5:45 PM for communion in the Fellowship Hall. Even if you aren’t normally with us on Wednesday night I hope you will join us for this special and sacred moment.
On Easter Sunday we will be blessed with guests. Please be sure to say a friendly “hello” to someone you don’t know. Invite them to join you in “flowering the cross” on Church Circle. It will be a gift they will long remember.
I pray you experience God’s grace in new and old ways alike as we walk with Jesus to the cross and the empty tomb. I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we think together about “Secret No More,”
