From now though the end of April we will spend our Sunday morning worship services learning how the Gospel of John sees the life of Jesus and that of the Holy Spirit. This Sunday we will focus our time on the activities and attributes of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised his followers that they would be strengthened by the presence of the Spirit after he had returned to the presences of the Father. I think you will be encouraged as we see just exactly what God’s presence means in the reality of life in the Spirit.
Please be aware of the following changes for this Sunday:
1) Daylight Savings Time returns. Be sure to change your clocks before going to bed Saturday night.
2) The Tri-Summitt Bank lot will be closed to us on Sunday as the bank’s employees are going to be working all weekend. We will have a shuttle running to the Library lot, the Clay Street lot and the Sullivan Street lot. I hope this will help you get here for worship.
3) This is not new but is very important. If you are able to walk a reasonable distance, PLEASE DON’T PARK on Holston Street. We are doing our best to save these prime spots for those who have physical challenges. You will allow someone else to be in church if you will leave these spaces open.
I look forward to seeing you on another beautiful almost-spring Sunday as we learn from the Gospel of John,
