The Nominating Committee has a great responsibility as we perform our role in the process of nominating new deacons. We need the prayer and input of every member of First Baptist Church. Please seek God's guidance as you propose the names of individuals for service as deacons. Please feel free to propose as few or as many members for deacon service as you feel led to submit. You may submit your recommendations using any of the following methods:

• Fill out and submit the Online Recommendation Form below.

• Download and print the Recommendation Form below and drop in one of the marked boxes located at the sanctuary entrances, turn it into the church office, or mail it to the church office.

• Email your deacon recommendations to kellysmith@fbckpt.org.

​

Please submit your recommendations by Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Biblical references for deacon qualifications may be found in Acts 6 and I Timothy 3.

Expectation of those who serve as deacons inclue:

​

1. Be a dedicated Christian, living an influential Christian life at home and in the community.

2. Be a spiritual leader, and actively support our church's programs, mission, and vision.

3. Identify personal spiritual gifts and participate actively in church ministries based on these gifts.

4. Be regular in attendance at worship services, deacons' meetings and in the serving of the Lord's Supper.

5. Be a tither.

6. Devote personal time to Bible study and prayer.

7. Be willing and able to serve in leadership roles in the church.

8. Be supportive of our church staff and fellow church members.
