Our second Sunday of in-person worship worked just as well as the first in spite of some challenging circumstances. A storm on Thursday night produced lightning that destroyed a computer in the sound booth and impacted a number of lights in the Sanctuary. Our staff, led by Brent Nowell, worked diligently Friday to make things better though we are still learning more about the damage and the appropriate response. In spite of all that, we were able to host about 115 people in our two services.
We will continue our 9 and 11 AM services this Sunday barring some unforeseen circumstances. Those attending have been doing a wonderful job with social distancing and wearing masks. I am so grateful to you for your response, whether you are able to be here in person or whether you are joining us online. Thanks for your prayerful support of our church during these uncertain times!
Just a reminder that we are having a few Sunday School classes. The Remnants class is meeting in the Fellowship Hall each Sunday. The class that Lyle Ailshie leads is meeting in S-202. Danny Silvey is leading a class in S-303. Youth and college students are meeting in the Youth Room and the Gym respectively. We have room for a few more classes if your class wants to meet. We meet at 10 AM for Sunday School. Please let me know if your class is interested in meeting.
We also have opportunities for your class or group to meet during the week as long as we continue to do appropriate social distancing and are willing to wear masks. Please let me know if your group wants to use our building for a Sunday School class or fellowship.
This Sunday we will continue to look to leaders in the Bible as we consider what it is like to have good advisers. I hope you will join us, either in person or online, this Sunday,
