This Sunday will be an opportunity for us all to worship together at one time. We will have elements of both styles of music in this joint service. We will have a look back at our Centennial Celebration. We will hear Dr. Frank Hawkins speak to us from his wealth of experience and wisdom. It should be a memorable day for our First Baptist fellowship.
Here is a schedule for you to remember:
9:30 - Coffee and doughnuts in the Atrium
10:25 - Please be in the Sanctuary as we have an "all-church" picture taken
10:30 - Our joint worship service will begin
At the conclusion of worship those who have purchased tickets will gather for a catered luncheon prepared by Pratt's.
We have been blessed by so many people who are doing so much to help us celebrate this milepost in our church's history. Thanks to Alice Corker and Marcy Carrier, who have led the Centennial Celebration Committee. Thanks to Joe Carrier who prepared the "Bob and Edith" video we all enjoyed today. Thanks, as always, to “Bob and Edith,” aka, David and Carol Casey for a wonderful reminder of our history and our responsibility to future generations. Thanks to all our RA's and GA's and their leaders for a memorable "treasure hunt." Thanks to Allee Hopkins and Jackie Dolen who are working diligently to make this Sunday's luncheon a great event. There are so many more I will try to list in other editions of our newsletter. And thanks to all of you who have been in worship throughout this year.
Ultimately, our thanks all flow to our God, who gives us reason for gratitude every day. I look forward to celebrating with you on Sunday. I hope you will be here ready to worship, look back and look forward,
