I love the look of our Sanctuary the year around, but during the Advent/ Christmas season my appreciation for it grows even more. The stained glass windows take on a new glow when they are reflecting the lights of candles and lights on Christmas trees. The balcony facing is festive as the greenery adds to the beauty of the room. Poinsettias add another touch of grace to the room. In more recent years the decor of the Atrium, Mountain View Room and multiple hallways bring a feeling of joy, just walking through the buildings. Thanks to all who serve on the Flower Committee who work so diligently to enhance our worship and fellowship throughout this month.
This Sunday we will again celebrate the coming of the Christ child. 8:40 AM worship will include wonderful music from Brent and our Praise Team. 11 AM worship brings special music from our Sanctuary Choir and our children. Both services will be terrific. You might want to consider coming to both services this week, just to enjoy all the gifts our people have to offer our Lord.
Our church continues to make a difference in our city and our world. Plans are already being made for a Belize mission trip in February. Our Celebrate Recovery ministry is doing well with committed lay leadership who are bringing a new level of commitment and dedication to a ministry which helps folks who are hurting. You are a part of making a difference in lives every day. THANKS for being a caring, compassionate group of Christians who care for all God’s children.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we consider giving God “Obedience” as a Christmas gift this year,
