I am writing these words on a hectic Monday morning. It may be the most hectic and best Monday morning of the year. Our campus is alive with Vacation Bible School students and teachers. The place is buzzing with activity as children arrive to learn, sing, play and eat! Please remember to pause to pray every morning at 9 AM for our Vacation Bible School. It can be a life-changing week for our children.
This Sunday we will be talking about “The importance of integrity.” You don’t hear much about integrity in the media today, do you? It seems to be a word of the past. It seems that “whatever it takes” has replaced integrity as a motto of our time. Try to think today of leaders in our nation who truly have “integrity.” Has there ever been a better time for Christians to display integrity as a part of who we are as God’s people? Let’s think about that on Sunday.
I want to thank you for your faithfulness in attendance so far this summer. It is encouraging to see new people and our regular folks as well. Be sure to speak to someone you don’t know this week. It may help them decide to make this their church home.
I look forward to being with you in worship this Sunday in both morning services and in our annual Young Artists’ service at 6 P. M. You will be amazed again at the gifts of our young people.
