We had another AmazinGrace 5K on Sunday. Allison Jones, Jessica Hatfield and their team did a fantastic job of preparation for another great event. More than 450 racers participated in either the one mile or 5K events. We had a great spirit among all those who were present. I was so proud of the way our church represented itself again this year. THANKS to all who were present and involved.
Our Providence Medical Clinic receives all the “profits” from the race. Chad Smith announced at the beginning of this year’s race that in the first 10 years of the AmazinGrace we have raised over $100,000 for Providence. Hundreds of people receive physical and spiritual assistance through your participation, our church’s budget and a variety of other sources to help some of the “least” of our brothers and sisters.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day. We will think about how everyone needs someone to love them. Do you know anyone who needs an extended family? Maybe you could invite that person to join us for worship on Sunday. I promise they will thank you for the invitation.
I look forward to sharing a very special trip back to the Waffle House with you this Sunday!
