What a splendid Advent celebration we had on Sunday. Our music in both services was splendid. Our orchestra just seems to add a special touch to Christmas for me. Thanks to our orchestra director, Brandon Woods, for the tremendous work he does leading our orchestra. To all our musicians, thanks for a great job all year long, but especially at this wonderful time of year.
Our Living Nativity was a great success. The work Cookie Greer puts into this event is incredible. I hope when you see her you will thank her for the hours and hours of planning she has done to get us ready for this second annual event. Those who came through the circle were blessed by the efforts of all who worked on the event.
This Sunday we will gather again as we prepare for Christmas on the Fourth Sunday of Advent. We will talk again about “An Imperfect Christmas.” This time we will focus our thoughts on the first visitors to see the infant, Jesus. Then on Christmas Eve, we will meet at 4 PM for a Contemporary Christmas Eve service and at 5:30 for a Traditional Christmas Eve service. I know you will be blessed by the music, the scripture, and the candles as we welcome the Lord into our hearts once more.
I can’t wait to see you every time we gather,
